Organizational and methodological work in the field of pediatric oncology and hematology plays a key role in ensuring the availability and quality of medical care in the regions of the Russian Federation. Despite the overall success, significant variability in care remains, which dictates the need to align conditions and bring regional practices in line with modern clinical guidelines. An analysis of regulatory documents and work experience in a number of regions of the Russian Federation revealed a number of problems, including insufficient number and qualifications of personnel, lack of uniform standards and protocols, fragmented information exchange, as well as a shortage of resources for the introduction of innovative technologies. Significant differences in the availability of modern diagnostic and treatment methods were noted depending on the region, and the analysis of patient routing indicated cases of late diagnosis and referral to specialized centers. To solve these problems, it is necessary to strengthen human resources, introduce common standards, optimize information exchange, actively develop telemedicine consultations, strengthen cooperation between regional and federal institutions, and create an effective system for monitoring and evaluating the quality of medical care. Strengthening organizational and methodological work should become a priority area for the development of pediatric oncological and hematology services in the country.
